Welcome to Sustainabili-tea India
Hello! Welcome to the tribe!
About me:
My name's Madhu. I'm a Bangalore-based teenager, constantly looking for practical and feasible ways to save the environment in my current location. I try to generate as little waste as possible in my daily life.
I was exposed to "this whole environment thing" when I ran into an eco-club in my apartment one morning when I was 7. Since then, I was an active member of the club for 2 years, before we all disbanded. Back then, 'saving the environment' only meant telling people in my apartment not to pluck flowers, and making posters.
Well, I've grown up now, and I know that all that is not enough, so I look for innovative solutions to waste.

About Sustainabilitea India:
I often look for low-waste solutions to my problems, but I often get disappointed because most of them don't pertain to my city or my country for that matter. After a lot of digging, I do find something. Once I do, I want to tell everyone else about it; that way, other zero-wasters can save time and effort.
We've all seen a lot of sustainability-related content on the net, but a lot of it is either not feasible here, or we've already seen it before. I promise you solutions that aren't time-consuming and are economical.
My sustainability solutions are aimed at the average Indian with a 9 to 5 job, who most likely won't have time to set up elaborate waste reduction systems or lack the means to buy packaging-free food. Believe me, unlike other sustainability bloggers (no hate intended xx), I'm not a vegan chef, I don't have a pretty house painted in pastel colours and I definitely don't have plants covering my balcony walls. I too, like all of you, am an average Joe (not with a job, I'm still in school) with a crazy schedule. Hence one can say that my blog is of, for and by the average Joe.
I put more importance on using everything you have to the max. I mean, if you buy food in plastic packaging, instead of groaning about the plastic waste, why not see how you can use the packaging again? This is Indian sustainability to boot. With everyone pitching in and making small lifestyle changes, India will lead the global sustainability movement.
